    85. lynn-cox.net As a visually impaired artist, I am intrigued by the inter-relationship between written/verbal language and the visual impact of the image. Everyday, a large amount of artwork is described to me by other artists and non-artists. (The amount of primary knowledge I get about artwork is limited because either I can't touch it or I wouldn't gain enough information from touching it). In the past, I have had difficulty in convincing some artists that I can appreciate visual artworks (even if a lot of interpretation is left to my own fertile imagination). However, artists give examples of exhibitions or events they have seen to their peers on a regular basis and few comments are made about the validity of the description, interpretation and/or evaluation.
