TABACHE - Are You Willing? (Lochshore Records CDLDL 1244)
The dueting fiddles/flute and whistle of Claire Mann and Aidan O'Rourke is certainly an exciting combination on this debut album. Joined by the guitar skills of Tony McManus and percussion of Lochshore session musician extraordinaire Stevie Lawrence, the album has plenty of bite. Claire gives some nice vocal performances which are not dissimilar to a more strident style adopted by Mairead of Altan. By the way - never judge a book (or CD) by its cover!(Pete Fyfe)
