MR FOX - Mr Fox/The Gipsy (Castle Communications ESMCD 433)
Hats off to Castle for re-issuing not one but two of the seminal folk rock albums of the genre on one cd. Death, doom and destruction are heavy on the agenda in what prove to be a well worn path only by the likes of the Albion Country Band. Featuring Bob and Carole Pegg, their vocal styles complement each other well as on 'The Gay Goshawk'. The nice thing about both albums is that they maintain their quintessential Englishness (Carole's fiddle style for instance) which sadly seems to be lacking in many of the young pretenders.
