Association for Astronomy Education - the AAE provides packs of materials for teachers and a list of UK astonomers willing to give talks.

AstroEd Resources - another huge list of resources including the history of astonomy.

Bradford Robotic Telescope - another well-designed site where schools can do their own observing. Lots of good school projects described here.

Calculate the Mass of the Top Quark - Deep within Fermilab's education pages, an exercise for students to calculate the mass of the top quark from real data, using conservation of momentum.

European Association for Astronomy Education - based at the European Southern Observatory in Germany, the EAAE runs European-wide events for schools.

Events in Delphi - An introductory 'detective game' to learn about events at LEP

Guided tour of Fermilab - A virtual tour of this major US particle physics lab, including descriptions of how accelerators and particle detectors work. Also links to the Education Office where you can find out about more about the many education projects at Fermilab.

Institute of Physics (IOP) - The IOP has a site directed at schools, which is often coordinated with actual lecture tours for schools.

Jefferson Lab's Tour of the Atom - A fun interactive tour of the atom, down to the level of quarks.

Learning about particle physics - Recommended sites with information for schools, including speakers for schools, from the central UK Particle Physics web site.

Leicester University Educational Guide to Space & Astronomy - nicely-designed fun site with masses of material for students including Bill Arnett's wonderful 'Nine Planets' tour.

List of resources in astronomy education - a long list of useful sites when looking for educational resources.

Liverpool Telescope - This bigger telescope also offers excellend practical astronomy programmes for schools.

NASA Spacelink - The NASA page especially geared to teachers, with a library of excellent resources and services, and pointers to useful NASA sites.

Of Interest to Schools - Particle physics summary sheets, to download or order, plus a virtual talk on the smallest particles, from Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, London.

Space Educator's Handbook - more than 2000 files covering teaching resources and information.

Telescopes in Education programme (TIE) - launched in 1993, a NASA-sponsored programme to enable schools around the world to use a remotely controlled telescope and digital CCD camera in real-time from the comfort of the classroom. An alternative UK site is located at Highgate School physics department.

The Particle Adventure - Mirror site for an interactive introduction to particle physics, complete with quizzes, from the Contemporary Physics Education Project at Berkeley, California. Link to other pages for information about teaching materials to order.
