"Sue
Ward is one of the best contemporary practitioners of
traditional astrology. Her deep and insightful understanding
of our Art comes from a twenty-year study and practice.
Her ability to present complex ideas simply, concisely,
and logically makes her an ideal tutor and lecturer. Most
of astrology today is quite different from astrology as
it was practised throughout almost all of its long history,
and her researches have given astrologers a better understanding
of how the various techniques, used by our ancient predecessors,
were used. She is one of the best authorities of the works
of William Lilly and is directly responsible for the publication
of his work on eclipses. Newcomers, intermediate, and
even advanced students of our craft will undoubtedly benefit
by studying with Sue."

"SUE
WARD is one of a very select group of astrologers for
whose work I have the utmost respect. Her ability to draw
together her vast knowledge of traditional astrology,
both techniques and the historical background from which
they arise, and make these totally relevant to the needs
and demands of astrological practice today is, I believe,
second to none. I would, and regularly do, recommend Sue's
course to any serious student who will undoubtedly find
that the time and energy they invest will bring them huge
satisfaction and really practical skills.
Sue has the
gift (not shared by many others) of being able to express
herself both in lecturing and writing in a way that simplifies
and demystifies material that can easily appear complicated
and confusing."

"Susan
Ward, in her capacity as teacher and lecturer has frequently
appeared at the Astrological Lodge of London, and I am
very pleased to say that she has exhibited the highest
degree of professionalism on each occasion. I have always
found her lecturers clear, informative and often inspiring
and this has been upheld by the audience, judging from
their favourable reaction. Her knowledge has always been
impressive and we are always very glad to have her back
to lecture, at any time."

"I would
recommend Sue Ward's teaching of Horary to anyone who
is seriously interested in the subject. She has amassed
a wealth of in-depth knowledge, which she will happily
share with the learner. She does not pressurise the learning,
she exercises a facilitating and sincere encouragement
to her students. Sue
shows immense compassion for the subject and shares this
with her students, coercing them into achieving not only
her high standards but those of a standard for the student
to be proud of."

"I can
thoroughly recommend having a Horary Question answered
by Sue Ward. Some time ago, I was wondering whether or
not to pursue a claim for health problems suffered when
working in a particular job many years before. I didn't
want to do so if - after a long period of proceedings
- the claim would fail. I contacted Sue Ward, and as we
live in different countries, she was able to clarify the
details of the question by E-Mail, and she was astoundingly
accurate in her reading of the horary question.
I feel the
answer she gave me to this question was what gave me the
courage to pursue the claim, and I am very glad I contacted
her. I found her to be very helpful, very accurate in
her reading of the answer to my Horary Question, and she
came back to me with the answer very quickly, which I
appreciated.
Again - I
can thoroughly recommend Sue Ward as a consultant Astrologer."

"I was
first "introduced" to Susan Ward while reading
what seemed at the time to be a curious astrology periodical
(but is now sorely missed): "The Traditional Astrologer."
For me, a then dyed-in-the-wool Chiron and Karma psychological
astrologer, it was like rummaging through astrology’s
attic. There were people with strange sounding names like
Culpepper and Lilly (didn’t he once predict a fire?) and
exotic words like decumbiture, antiscion, and horary.
Horary? Wasn’t that fortune telling? I don’t recall exactly
which article by Sue Ward I found first, but I do recall
my thinking going from "She really believes this
stuff" to "Does this really work?" I definitely
recall an article of hers that opened my eyes. It was
an event chart involving a lost child, and Sue showed
how at first she couldn’t get what she wanted from the
chart, but she was convinced the chart was trying to tell
us something. It turned out one of the protagonists was
lying, and when the lie came to life the chart screamed
the irrefutable truth. I was hooked.
Sue writes
with expertise and a profound knowledge of William Lilly’s Christian Astrology. She brings the tradition to
life with her respect for astrology, her common sense
approach, and her obvious love of subject. And she arouses
raw envy from those of us who wish to, but are not able
to, read Lilly’s diaries stored in the British Museum
like she has. By all means read Susan Ward, but do so
only if you want to learn serious astrology, and enjoy
yourself while doing it."

"Susan
Ward has that rare ability to cut through sometimes formidable
jargon, and make the core of ancient thought accessible
to the modern headset. Ward is probably the greatest living
expert on the great master, William Lilly, as well as
the finest teacher in the field. I am delighted to see
that she will be making her work available to the world."

"Susan
Ward is, without any doubt, one of the greatest traditional astrologers of our day. Due to her
indefatigable research into
the Horary astrology, particularly that from Lilly’s 'Christian Astrology' her in-depth investigations
of the heritage of English astrologers of XVII century,
we can now better understand details of their astrological
techniques and astrological practice. I always read Susan's
works with a great interest, and find there many useful and instructive things.
I strongly recommend her works to all who have a true
interest in the astrological tradition, and I am impatiently
looking forward to Susan's new works."

"I have
recently subscribed to Susan Ward’s course. Having checked several similar courses I was impressed
by the course content and the tutorial support offered.
The course
is well structured with straightforward lessons covering
the techniques used. On the few occasions I have needed
to contact my tutor I have always had a quick and helpful
reply."

"Prior
to 2002 there was no Australian Astrology School offering
a diploma course in Horary Astrology. Those seriously
interested in learning 'the art' had to look further afield.
There is a handful of fine courses available 'overseas',
from which I chose Sue Ward’s highly regarded, and well-established
Horary Course (UK).
This course
based firmly on the work of William Lilly is structured
to ensure a thorough instruction in the techniques of
Horary Astrology. There is recognition of prior learning
with an entry point for students with some astrological
knowledge.
The method
of payment is particularly attractive with no large up
front fees and the option of paying for one lesson at
a time. Compulsory course texts are kept to a minimum
and students are thereby investing just as much as their
time and interest allows.
Throughout
the course I have been impressed by the prompt feedback
to my questions, assignments and examination from Susan,
vital to maintaining the interest and enthusiasm in distance
education.
Students'
individual learning styles are catered for with more than
adequate time allowed for the completion of written work
and the option of extra tuition or suggestions for revision
offered where appropriate.
Whether one
is interested in using Horary Astrology for personal use
or for professional consultations, Sue’s course provides
an excellent base of knowledge and skills on which to
build.
I continue
to recommend this course to those interested in studying
Horary Astrology."

"A year
ago I had never heard of Horary and probably fell into
the category of reading Horoscopes daily but never really
understanding how they were produced. Then during a period
when I was having some personal difficulties I stumbled
upon Susan Wards web site. After reading the various pages on this site my
interest was aroused and after a few days of contemplation
I decided to contact her with a possible question to try
and help me deal with my problem.
Having submitted
my question I was very impressed with Susan’s professional
and caring approach to ensuring the facts before giving
an answer to my question. She had no previous knowledge
of me or my situation and yet she was able to give very
accurate and detailed facts relating to me and the situation
concerned. All of which reassured me of Susan’s genuine
abilities. What had probably started out on my part as
a shot in the dark for some much needed help actually
turned into a strong belief in Susan’s skills and the
art of Horary.
I’d have
to admit that the answer wasn’t possibly what I hoped
for and at the time of writing this testimony some might
say that the jury is still out on its overall accuracy.
However there has been sufficient accuracy to date that
I have no reason to doubt the remaining content. I would
certainly consider using Susan and her Horary skills again,
and would have no qualms recommending her skills. In fact
the whole situation has stirred an interest for me to
learn more about Horary and Astrology and I have since
purchased a copy of William Lilly’s Christian Astrology.
I know for a fact this interest wouldn’t have occurred
if I hadn’t stumbled upon Susan’s web site nearly a year
ago."

"I found
the course material to be very thorough, everything set
out in an easy-to-understand format. Each module is simple
to follow and to understand and is presented in a logical
order. It is because this course is so well organised
and precisely thought out that I personally found it enjoyable
to work my way through each step until the conclusion
and attainment of the diploma.
Sue Ward,
my tutor, always made me feel welcome and helped me enormously
throughout the course. Knowing that she was always there
for me at the end of the telephone or e-mail whenever
I needed advice was an enormous comfort to me. Whenever
I submitted my assignments I was, and felt, assured that
they would be returned to me, marked and assessed as quickly
as possible. They always were. This standard of tuition
was maintained throughout the time it took for me to complete
the course.
In my opinion
the course is of an exceptionally high standard, the material
shows a thorough understanding enabling the student to
have the opportunity to gain knowledge of a very difficult
subject matter. Tuition is of a personal and individual
nature, which is extremely reassuring and puts the student
at ease very quickly. I would highly recommend Sue Ward
and her course as I personally benefited so much and thoroughly
enjoyed studying with her."

"Sue
Ward is a brilliant Horary astrologer and teacher.
Her work
combines decades of intense training with a razor-like
insight into the human spirit and its astrological matrix.
Like an arrow, she goes to the heart of the matter each
time with an accuracy and integrity that leaves others
shuddering in the dust.
A sense of
the sacred has been lost in our modern culture... but… Sue Ward brings it back to us, with her clarity
of vision, her integrity, her exquisitely logical and
accurate understanding of astrology, and her bulls-eye
appraisals, uncluttered by equivocation. Superlatives
are bandied about like confetti these days, but to put
it in a nutshell – Sue Ward is a Master."

"As
well as the confidence her extensive knowledge of her
subject inspires, I appreciate the grounded wisdom, empathy
and generosity of spirit Sue Ward brings to her work as
a practitioner and teacher."
Saskia

"Clear,
honest, accurate...Sue Ward is head and shoulders above
the rest. As a seasoned veteran of astrological practice
and study, I turn to Ms. Ward--and Ms. Ward alone--to
set my feet back on the right path, the path of logic,
unerring accuracy, and a deep understanding of the human
spirit. Only she can bring me there...and only she can
bring me back."
Vanessa
Starr, M.A. (Canada)
"On
a number of occasions Sue Ward has lectured to my group
of students, all of which are non-astrologers, and has
demonstrated how she extracts certain information from
charts. Her popular, well-attended lectures are always
extremely interesting and informative.
With her
sharp wit, humour and repartee she is able to engage the
attention of students and to stimulate their interest.
At all times you are aware of her immense knowledge and
expertise and of her respect and love for astrology.
Sue Ward
has the wonderful ability to enthuse others and to make
this vast subject approachable to the experienced astrologer,
the student, and the non-astrologer alike. This is a very
special gift and Sue Ward has this gift."
Denise

"Sue
Ward's talk to the Suffolk Astrological Society was pitched
at an ideal level for a group of varied experience. What
came across strongly through the humour and energy of
her delivery washer integrity. A sense of belief and commitment
was conveyed which combined with the example charts chosen,
demonstrated clearly the principles and priorities for
interpreting horary charts.
The finest
compliment I can pay is a further invitation to return
to the group to run a workshop in 2003."

"I would
also like to add to the testimonials as a returning student.
Since I have known you, although we have not yet been
able to meet, I have always felt that you have been a
friend as well as a tutor. I could not have imagined returning
to my studies with anyone but you and I have always had
complete confidence that you will point me in the 'right
direction' when I go off course. I had to wait a while
to get going again but everything worth while is worth
waiting for. Thank you Sue for being there. I look forward
to many years of continued study and friendship."
