Guernsey, like its neighbour Jersey and the smaller islands nearby is an independent place just off the coast of Brittany, France. It is, however, part of the British Isles, making for a unique mix of French and British culture.
Statue MenhirsA type of prehistoric carved stone not seen elsewhere in Britain. Other examples are seen in continental Europe.
...and a Stone Circle! Being a densely populated island, most standing stones on Guernsey are no longer there, here are a few that are.
