A few days after entering service Scania ULF Wright Excelsior 823 had the distinction of being the first (f)Beeline vehicle to attend a bus rally
when it went to Classic Auto-Motion at Crowthorne on Sunday 16th May 1999.
Classic Auto-Motion as the name implies is a preservation rally so modern, new 823 stood out from the crowd, attracting quite a few visitors.
Interest was further promoted by an article in Buses magazine, on sale at the show ground, reporting the arrival of the new buses
as part of the quality partnership between Beeline, Bracknell Forest District Council and Legal&General.

After spending most of the day in static display 823 moved to a spot near Rally Control late in the afternoon for some
demonstrations of the wheelchair ramp. |
| |
All participants at Classic Auto-Motion recieved a small plaque to mark their attendance, but it is not really practical to display it on 823. |

With 823 reserved for local use X7 London Victoria is unlikely to be displayed in anger. |

The big bus carries all over vinyl better than many smaller vehicles or even double deckers. |

The Scania ULFs will be too busy delivering the promises of the quality partnership between Beeline, Bracknell Forest District Council and Legal&General
to attend rallies in future. There may be other days out with other buses of the Beeline Bracknell fleet, only time will tell.
