OUR NEXT SURVEY AMONG 7-14 YEAR OLDS IS PLANNED FOR FIELDWORK COMMENCING
24TH FEBRUARY TO 11TH MARCH. LAST QUESTIONS BY 15TH FEBRUARY AND TARGET RESULTS IN
EARLY APRIL.
Some of the latest findings from Child Track 2000 Wave 11 among 733
7-14 year olds - November 2000.
This survey:
The favourite TV personalities are Sabrina
The Teenage Witch and Bart / The Simpsons.
The domination of Pokemon has gone down
sharply since May-June 2000 (from 58% mention any Pokemon down to 9%).
The Christmas presents wanted are
microscooters (17%) and mobile phones (15%). Computer & Video Games Consoles
Hardware remained high on the list.
52% of 7-14's have a Sony PlayStation in
home at present.
39% had acquired some kind of equipment in
the last year.
Official UK PlayStation Magazine is still
top of the computer magazines readership.
44% of respondents played or used
a Sony
PlayStation in the last month.
18% of 7-14's play on their equipment 7
days a week.
Over three quarters of 7-14's use a
computer (in last 4 weeks) for games (78%), closely followed by Homework / Study (67%).
Top favourite Main Meals among 7-14's are
Chips (40%) and Pizza (35%)
Top 3 Favourite Chocolate Bars among 7-14's
are Mars Bar, Galaxy, Aero/Caramel.
Almost a quarter of 7-14's had eaten a Mars
Bar (23%) or a KitKat (23%) in the last week.
