Whitby Motor Club is a local motor club which meets monthly at Staithes Athletic Club. The club caters for all levels of interest from spectating or marshalling to actually competing in motorsport events such as rallies, races, autotests and auto x. Every year the club runs an internal championship which consists of Autotests, production car trials and 12 car rallies. These events provide entry level competition in complete safety in your own road car with trophies for top finishers in each event.

Club members marshal on a wide variety of events around the are and this is an ideal way to become involved. Just as important as the motorsport is the social side of the club. The highlight of the social year is the Annual Dinner Dance but there are also regular socials usually consisting of a disco - party with fun games and food. So if you're a motorsport fan and would like to become involved and meet like minded people in a social atmosphere why not join. You won't be disappointed!
