I shared a seat in Princes Street with this gentleman. He reminds me of
the actor Bill Fraser who played Sergeant Snudge in an old TV comedy series called Bootsie
and Snudge.
There's a story that a visitor asked a local "Say, which one of these seats is
Arthur's Seat?" |

At the foot of The Mound, near Princes Street. There's also a cropped close-up with text which is just
legible. The Rev A B Cameron also used to play the bagpipes - but not particularly well. |

Previously featured as a scanned print, but the scanned negative is higher
quality. These enamelled signs have long since disappeared, but will be remembered by
many. |
