Believed to be the Student Centre with Old College in the distance.

Worth downloading if only to load into a paint program to colour in all those perspex windows.
dumbiedykes.jpg (309219 bytes) Dumbiedykes
800 x 600
130K
1024 x 768, low compression version is 302K. This is the council housing estate with fine views of Salisbury Crags, from where I took the photo. Grainy film, long 350mm lens.
dumbiedykes2.jpg (317966 bytes) Dumbiedykes2
800 x 600
119K
1024 x 768 is 310K. Grainy pictures seem to have too much detail for JPEG compression to shrink file-sizes significantly. Camera panned slightly left in this second picture.

Previously featured as a scanned print, now as a scanned negative. Infra Red film.

Hard to believe that these are steps to a Royal Park. This area looks rather different nowadays.
st-leonards2.jpg (78714 bytes) St Leonard's2

The same steps with the camera facing the other way, into Holyrood Park. Salisbury Crags tower above Radical Road. 128mm lens.
st-leonards3.jpg (101661 bytes) St Leonard's3
748 x 768

A short time-exposure captures the wet cobbles in St Leonard's Street. I reckon that's Rankeillor Street with the pub on the corner.
st-leonards4.jpg (89071 bytes) St Leonard's4
695 x 768

The Pleasance, as far as I remember... It was 25 years ago after all!

Sorry, but I couldn't resist another shot of the 'store-horse'. That would be St Cuthbert's Co-op delivering the milk. The hill isn't as steep as it looks; the horse could probably climb it - as long as it's had its oats for breakfast.
