Now you have your website HTML, you need to upload it to your website. To do this visit the software section of the Saturn website and enter FTP into the Tucows search box. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is the method by which you will upload your website to the Internet. For our purposes we recommend you download WS-FTP. Install WS-FTP then connect to the
Internet and open a new site. Enter your site name and then the server address to which
you wish to upload - this can be found in your Hypermart confirmation Email. Once you have
accessed your webspace create a new folder and call it mysite, open this folder then open
Windows Explorer and locate the HTML files you saved from the Saturn website. Click and
drag each file into the FTP window. Once this is done your website is up and running. Test
your site by entering the URL - If you receive an error message then something is wrong. Check through the above procedures to ensure you have done everything right. If you have then check your file names are all lower case and you have saved them in the correct directory. If you experience any further problems contact us here and we'll try our best to help you or alternatively contact Hypermart who will also be more than happy to give you a hand. |
