Frequently Asked Questions
Do unclaimed counties grow in population?
Yes, they grow by 5% each turn. However they will not grow over 500. After the population growth, migration is calculated. This means the county could exceed 500 but only untill the next population growth when it would be restricted to 500 again.
Do unclaimed counties have any defence?
Yes, all unclaimed counties automatically defend with 1/5 of their population.
Do unclaimed counties ever attack?
No.
For the purpose of migration, attacking and army transfers are diagonnal counties considered adjacent?
No, only counties that are directly north, south, east and west are considered adjacent.
Can unclaimed counties have castles or soldiers?
No unclaimed counties cannot build castles or recruit soldiers.
If an attack is successful does the population not assigned to defend work normally for the defeated ruler for the rest of the turn?
Yes, everything continues as normal until the end of the turn (except the killed defenders are deducted from the population immediately). At the end of the turn the county switches over to the new ruler, and next turn the new ruler can use all that counties rescources including cows and castles.
Does migration occur between counties with the same ruler?
Yes.
Is the game over when all counties have the same ruler?
The game would be over, but it isn't neccessary to counquer all counties some could still be unclaimed at the end of the game. But the counties which are ruled must all be ruled by the same ruler.
As I understand, the only moment when the number of farmers is checked is after cows being eaten. Thus, starting with 100 cows in a 10 fields county, I can buy 6 cows, produce cheese with 106 cows, then the total will rise through births to 116,then kill 16 of them and I will not have problems with crowding, using only 100 farmers. Is it correct?
Yes.
What happens when a county is attacked by two different players at the same time?
If a county is attacked by more than one player at once then then the one with the highest force wins and takes the damage of the next highest force.
What happens when an attacker has exactly the same force as the defending county?
The defending county automatically wins.
What happens if two players attack the same county with the same force at the same time?
The defender would win even if he had a lower force than the two attackers. However because the winner has to take the damage of the highest opposing force all the defenders army would be killed but the county would not be conquered.
If I have enough materials and I assign 200 people to the castle and give the build command will I build a level 2 castle in 1 turn?
No, you can't build more than one level per turn, no matter how many people you assign to work. If you did assign 200 people then you would do 200 work units but you would only have a level 1 castle.
I have 200 workunits on a castle but it's only a level 1 castle. I have enough materials to make it a level 2 what do I do?
Just give the build command and the materials will be deducted and the castle will be upgraded. Because you already have the workunits you don't have to even assign any workers to the castle!
I assigned 100 workers to the castle but they haven't built a castle, why not?
Its no good just putting people to work on the castle they won't do anything untill you give the build command.
Are the castle materials listed for each level the total of that material that will have been used by the time that level is reached or the amount needed to upgraded to the that level from the last?
The amount needed to upgrade. eg level 4 wood= 350 this means you need another 350 of wood to upgrade it to level 4 from level 3.
What happens if two adjacent counties attack each other at the same time?
The two armies pass each other and the two battles are carried out seperately.
