A little bit of history: the evolution of the AD Music logo....

1: This is the original inlay for David Wright's first, home produced cassette, "Reflections". I suppose it is self-explanatory.

2: ...which spawned the first version of the logo, used on letter headings and the first 3 CDs (original versions)

3: When I came on the scene in late 1994, the first thing I did was to design new inlays for the re-releases of the 3 cassette albums. This was the illustration for "Reflections", an adaptation of the logo, something like an airborne chrome sculpture, suspended over a frozen sea (actually the Weddell Sea, in late March 1992).

4: This in turn gave the cue for the new label logo. In theory this is the "AD Music Ltd" logo, but in fact it was used on the last release by the private incarnation of the label, David Wright's "Dissimilar Views".

Of course we can hardly leave it at that! I've felt we need an image overhaul for a while now. Below are a few (failed) experiments. The one on the left has been used, in rather a different form, in our annual catalogues. The one on the right was used in adverts in "Wire" and for the Derby 1996 extravaganza concert. I feel we need to go 3D, but exactly where ... time will tell.

so basically, no, it doesn't have any meaning at all!
