| Snowhenge, a strange artefact discovered at around S79'50" on
Filchner Ice Shelf in Feb 1992. Evidence suggests a ceremonial
site dedicated to the worship of the Celtic god Blackbush.
The contraption in the background is a ground pointing scatterometer working at 13.8Ghz, which may sound like gibberish but it was why we were there. © David Mantripp |
