Borough Market is one of the last (or the very last) of the old London markets still in operation. It is rapidlly falling victim to the gentrification syndrome, where tastefully restored urban decay can turn derelict (but somehow atmospheric) areas into high end yuppie heaven. I wanted to catch the essence of it while I still could (in Spring 1999), and somehow it also seemed a good place to experiment with PolaPan for QTVR. The high contrast characteristics of the film heighten the starkness of the location, to good effect in my opinion. Is this the very first PolaPan QTVR ?
