Bristol is one of the best places to be in England these days. It has flourishing arts, lots of history, lots of future, and lots of music, including of course Massive Attack and Portishead. Just one panorama so far, but it is very nice!
Where I used to live, a small city about 35km south of London. Quite a historic place, in fact, pre-dating the existence of London as a significant influence. However, civic planning throughout the ages, and especially the 1960s, has ensured that a suitable level of bland suburban mediocrity is well established.
