The Netherlands Committee for the World Conservation Union/Tropical Rainforest Program, NC-IUCN/TRP, for its support for projects in both Liberia and Sierra Leone, 1998-2001; Agency for Personal Services Overseas/Ireland, APSO, for co-funding an Irish Volunteer to work with ENFOSAL and now EFA in Sierra Leone and Liberia, 1997-2001; United Nations High Commission for Refugees, UNHCR, for supporting returnee and refugee programs commencing in Liberia, 1998-2000; United Nations World Food Program (WFP) for supporting, with food for work for projects in Sierra Leone and Liberia, 1997-1999; Dublin Corporation Third World Fund for funding a community agroforestry project in Kambia, SL in 1997/98. Unfortunately disrupted by crisis in Sierra Leone but project eventually completed in December 1998; Combined Services Third World Fund - Ireland and Radio Television Ireland (RTE) for funding ENFOSAL's first (by CSTWF) land reclamation project in Kambia in 1996 and a second (by CSTWF and RTE) phase in 1997. The second phase was not completed because of the civil conflict which escalated after the coup in May 1997; ACTIONAID Sierra Leone for donating a vehicle (1997) and providing some institutional support (1995-1997); British High Commission (Sierra Leone) for funding a community tree nursery project at Lakka, Freetown, 1996 and the first and only edition of an ENFOSAL newsletter in April 1997; German Embassy (Sierra Leone) for funding equipment and furniture for office and training centre in Freetown 1996-1997; And finally the approximately 1500 ENFOSAL members in Sierra Leone, Ireland, UK, Germany and the USA through membership contributions in 1996-1997. A membership scheme for EFA will be designed to eventually replace the ENFOSAL one; We also thank all the other individual volunteers and organisations who contributed by supporting in small and large ways: Catholic Relief Services (CRS), International Rescue Committee (IRC), Concern Worldwide, GOAL Ireland, etc. |

The Liberia Program is today managed by EFA and will, in time, be managed by a local set-up. |

The Sierra Leonean Program started off as a separate program under the name ENFOSAL – Environmental Foundation of Sierra Leone. |
