Of many, then, who flourished at one and the same time and in one and the same province, and about whom I have not been able to learn and am not able to write every particular, I will now give some brief account..

Vasari includes, amongst others:

"..over the wall of the Church of S. Consolata, he [Stefano da Verona] painted a Madonna and certain birds, in particular a peacock, his emblem." I-599
