A holding deposit on the boat fare was placed at the Terminal in Douglas as I was leaving the Island last year, so it was no surprise when a letter requesting the balance on the fare came crashing through my letter box in February
The balance was immediately paid over the phone by visa card so pressure if any, is removed---Therefore, I have a place on the boat on the day I wanted at the fare I wanted--What could possibly go wrong !!!
I subsequently received a second letter asking me to check the first-- In case I had got the wrong booking--
It is now all sorted out but ALWAYS CHECK BEFORE YOU PAY
I love the Isle of Man ---It is SO quaint in every way
WHAT NEXT ?
My next consideration was to make sure I have somewhere to lay my head albeit it briefly each night so I phoned my Homestay and this was still open to me for Year 2000--I do not have any dirty habits, nor have ever run over any prize geese, or given my kind hosts from previous years any reason whatsoever for them to say
A Boat and a Bed......
What else do I need ???
I NEED FACILITIES
THANK YOU IOM PRESS OFFICE FOR GIVING ME PRESS ACCREDITATION AGAIN THIS YEAR-I DO APPRECIATE YOUR HELP-SEE YOU SOON !
AN INTEREST PERHAPS ?
I generally pick a couple of riders with whom I can associate, for the period from now on..
In years gone by I have picked success and I have picked disaster and I have picked hardship
Either way I enjoy seeing the TT through their eyes and I try to help out where I can
This is my second year with Kevin and he is riding a ZXR 400 and an RC30 and he is entered in the TT by me under the name of this website, "www.ttfan.co.uk" and this will feature on his fairing and on the race van.

<----Thank you, the WURTH rep--He has called in and presented me with a box of freebie essentials ---CHAIN LUBE, ALL KINDS OF CLEANERS, WIPES etc, ALL USEFUL ITEMS--It is helpful indeed when people do this for us for the TT--THANKS AGAIN--However we desperately need more help like this please
My other interest this year is Blair Degerholm from New Zealand who is UK based and in fact is a MOTORCYCLE COURIER in and around Slough, Berkshire

I have been watching Blairs rise up through the ranks and this year I believe he is ready for a major TT podium place, or even a WIN
He is an excellent rider and has a number of awards on his trophy shelf, not least the Bill Ivy Trophy
I see a great future for Blair and he is psyching himself up for the big one in Yr 2000
He has the right machinery------specially prepared works/dealer supported Kawasakis
I hope to be part of a winning team again this year
Lets hear it for BLAIR
I have also an interest in anyone riding a Kawasaki or an Aprilia since I sell them in the shop where I work
I have already noted that ADAM DONOVAN of Australia is entered by dealers "SIGNPOST CORNER" in the Formula One on an Aprilia so I will be monitoring his progress
From Slovenia comes MIRKO KALSEK on a Kawasaki 900, and ANITA BUXTON is back this year with a ZX7RR
I will be monitoring the entry lists as they appear and see who else has potential this year
A FEW DETAILS OF ENTRIES AND RIDER INFORMATION CAN BE SEEN ON IOMTT.COM
HOWEVER, WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE TT PROGRAMME TO SEE THE OFFICIAL ENTRY LISTS
WHERE WILL I WATCH THE RACING THIS YEAR ?
My complete website is, I hope, a rich source of information for spectators, whether this is their first or fifty-first visit
I mention all of my favourite places, because they are my favourites, through experience and knowledge. You will see speed, strange racing lines, different braking points and differing riding techniques...It will help to show you just how TT racing is different from anything you have seen before !!!
I will be relating where best to see the racing and how to get there
SO WATCH THIS SPACE
