THAT GREAT TT FEELING
A FEW SPECIAL CONTACTS

On the way up from Reading to Liverpool, I met three dejected Swiss fans in a Services, who were absolutely soaked, did not have ferry tickets and were trying to find Heysham !!
On my advice they followed me to Liverpool and were able to get on the same ferry as I had booked and right through the time I was on the Island we kept meeting up at the racing, in bars and even on the roadside.
They were so pleased that they had not wasted time journeying up country and they were even more pleased to be able to get to the TT in warmth and full of all-day breakfast.
They thanked me profusely...
We will meet again no doubt....

I then had a sweat shirt printed at Promenade Shirts on Queens Promenade
with my website address on the front..

I was very surprised to meet so many people who had read about it in the MCN, had found it on one search engine or another, or who had discovered it by accident....
My thanks to Promenade Shirts for all the shirts you have printed for me over the years

I now have a few people contributing to this website as a result of this years TT visit.
Wildchild was contacting me with info before I had even set out, since her brother was over early.
He contacted her by mobile phone and she e-mailed me a resume of his reports...
THANK YOU JESSICA..

Thanks to John Shand for his comments and very controversial observations

Thanks to Mike and CCS Associates who showed me their webcam set up and explained how it all works....
It is the technology which will keep the TT in the forefront of sport..
Looking forward to further jumps forward in year 2001..

There are SO MANY people I would like to thank for making my TT visits so memorable..
This website is not big enough to name names but I wish I could list all those people who literally give me reason to continue visiting the Island...
People I have known for simply years and people I have met for the very first time..

LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE WALLACE FAMILY WHO HAVE PUT ME UP (OR SHOULD THAT BE PUT UP WITH ME) FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS. I HAVE FELT VERY MUCH AT HOME AND I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THE HUGE BREAKFASTS AND ALL THAT COFFEE AND TEA AT THE DROP OF A LIP. I HAVE SEEN THE KIDS GROW UP, AND YOUR MOVE TO THE NEW HOUSE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY --HOPING YOU'LL HAVE ME AGIN NEXT YEAR--LOVE AND BEST WISHES

IT WAS THIRTY YEARS AGO AT LEAST
( The controversy still rages )

Thirty years ago there was a call for another circuit on the Isle of Man which would be usable even when there was mist on the Mountain...
The motorcycle press was full of letters from people recommending short circuits, variations on the TT course and even Round Douglas races..
So, for the last few years, while the rain pelted down, and practice AND racing was postponed, I have been with a couple of pals to explore the roads in the South of the Island..
As a consequence we have come up with the
STONEY MOUNTAIN CIRCUIT
which is shown below on the map in PINK.
The upper road extension (shown in orange and pink) can incorporate the present TT circuit from Crosby to Ballacraine but we feel that a new separate circuit is needed..
I would like your comments and observations....
Have you been down the Ballamohda straight ?
Taken the Eairy Esses ?
Been through the Chibbanagh ?
