The Peterborough Branch hold a regular series of talks and other events throughout the year starting at 7.30 p.m. on the dates below. The SOCIAL MEETINGS for 2006-2007 are as follows.

  Video footage of the 1947 Floods
• 29th, 30th April and the 1st May Bill Fen Spring Festival
  held at Bill Fen Marina, Mill Drove, Ramsey, Cambs PE26 2RD
  This magnificent event, will provide fun and games for everyone over the weekend. There will be a Bar, Food and Entertainment. All proceeds to go towards the raising of Ramsey Hollow Bridge.
  
  

The main progamme for the year 2003/2004 was as follows.

• 15TH OCTOBER 2003 A very lively and informative talk on the Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway was given by James Clifton, British Waterways' Project Manager for this new waterway. After the talk James Clifton answered questions and drew the first ticket for the branch raffle. The branch gave a cheque for the Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Trust in appreciation of the evening and to support this very worthy cause. • 12TH NOVEMBER 2003 A talk by campaigner and prolific waterway writer Alan Faulkner on The Lesser Waterways of East Anglia. His talk included the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation, River Ivel, River Stour, Little Ouse and River Nar all illustrated with slides.
  
  
• 10TH DECEMBER 2003 Christmas Social a fun night for all the family - Admission charge £5.
  
  
• 14TH JANUARY 2004 The Wisbech to Upwell Tramway and the Wisbech Canal: an illustrated talk by Andrew Ingram.
  
  
• 11TH FEBRUARY 2004 The Kennet and Avon Canal: an illustrated journey by waterway magazine contributor (and branch committee member) Jim Shead.
  
• 10TH MARCH 2004 The Branch Annual General Meeting - and Quiz Evening.
  
  
• 9TH - 11th APRIL 2004 Middle Levels Easter Cruise, for details see the Report and Photographs.
  
  
• 14TH APRIL 2004 An evening with Irven Forbes, Environment Agency Waterways Manager.
  
  
• 12TH MAY 2004 A talk (with demonstrations) on Knots by Ken Nelson.
