What YOU could do with SOUND=SPACE

"SOUND=SPACE is for me one of the most exciting musical breakthroughs, possibly in the history of music, certainly as important as the invention of the organ or a new range of instruments.
"It will benefit children, the blind, and the disabled, as well as enthuse newcomers with the possibility of creating for themselves everything from jazz chords to variations on a Strauss waltz."
Desmond Wilcox BBC Television Producer

SOUND=SPACE is available for schools and special needs centres!

Creative Encounters

enter the
SOUND=SPACE
and
create music

simply by being there

The Creative Encounters team consists of Rolf Gehlhaar and Rebecca Colclasure, composer, musician and music teacher specialising in music technology with special needs students. The team arrives at the school or centre with all the equipment required for a fantastic day with SOUND=SPACE.

Types of Creative Encounters available:

1 day : an all-day installation which as many as 4 different groups of 8-10 participants may visit for approx. one hour each; the emphasis is on making music and enjoying it.

2 days : 1st day: as above; 2nd day: workshop style, with some emphasis on control and understanding of the system, with structured musical and choreographic activities.

The Creative Encounters team can also design a project specifically for a particular school or centre and then visit on a regular monthly or bi-monthly basis.

"I see SOUND=SPACE as a wonderful tool for confidence building with very shy children; they become independent and undertake tasks they would never attempt in the classroom."
