At our Meeting on Saturday 23 June 2007, in accordance with the wishes of Yearly Meeting, London and Middlesex General Meeting was officially laid down.
A Residuary body was appointed until 31 December 2008 to deal with aspects of General Meeting that are still outstanding.
The Meeting expressed great interest in Pan-London Quaker work continuing, but perhaps under the umbrella of a body which was less formally constituted and run.
They agreed that one of the functions of the Residuary body would be to investigate future Pan-London activity.
Some of the suggestions for the future were:-
A shared website
A co-ordinated list of members of London MMs
A leaflet listing the London Meetings, geared to Outreach and produced annually
An experiment with London-wide meetings for inspiration, education and dialogue.
And small groups of Friends took these suggestions on as projects for development.
