We are a Judo club based in Totnes, in Devon, England. We have both junior and senior members, and a separate 'Kai' class, for Judoka's under eight years old. Anyone is welcome to come along:

The Thoughts Of Chairman Rog

Over the last couple of months or so things have been quite exciting really but not all for the same reasons. Difficulties emerged at Kingsbridge following personal problems with Jacqui, the previous coach at Kingsbridege, who on top of everything has not been at the best health wise, this meant without a qualified coach, the Kinsbridge section was almost folded, but a lot of effort was put in by Bubbles, the club treasurer and enquires were were made to find a coach, in the end one name came forward, Judy Foss she only has to re-validate and should with any luck take over when Judo restarts in september. Ray Brown has had an injury problem, not caused by Judo I hasten to add, and is off for a while pending an operation to put things right again. I'm sure everyone wishes him well, and a speedy return to the mat. All notever, a very succesful trip to the grange split grade event produced good results, courtesy of Parcel Force Worldwide who supplied a very nice 15 seater mini bus and have given us some T-shirts which will be issued to players going to events so as to advertise the club and sponser.

The Exeter Classic also produced some decent results which again highlights the effort put in by everyone in training. Don't forget we are open right through the summer this year, so you should be well prepared for the new season which starts in september with the Devon Closed Championships, good luck to everyone entering. The Kano group within the Kai class is doing well and attendance badges are appearing on jackets. Watch out for info on the Kano Club soon.
