Audio Trades
Not All Collectors Have The Facilities To
Record CD-R's, So In This Case I Can Make Audio Copies Of Anything
Listed In My Bootleg Catalogue. Usually I Only Trade Tapes For Titles That Are Unbootleged
Or Are Unobtainable
Anywhere Else. For Trading Audio Cassettes, I Use C60 Or C90 Tapes With A Good
Quality Brand Such As TDK,
Maxell Or BASF.
CD-R Trades
CD-R Trades Are Recorded On Good Quality Multi Speed Media, The CD-R Recorder I Use Is A PC Based Internal Drive Model AOPEN CRW9420 Which Supports DAO (Disc At Once) Recording. This Method Makes An Exact Carbon Copy Of The Original CD. (Note - CD's That Exceed 74 Minutes Are Recorded On 730mb Discs, ie. 80min CD's) All Trades Must Be Recorded This Way, Please Let Me Know If You Are Only Able To Make CD-R's Via TAO (Track At Once). My Second CD-ROM Drive Is A DYSAN CD-36XE This Is Used For Digital Audio Extraction. The Software Used For DAE Is Audiograbber V1.30, This Copies CD's True To The Original, Digitally And Not Through The Soundcard. It Also Calculates Checksums On Each Track As It's Copied, Therefore Eliminating Any Problems Such As Crackles & Pops Which Are Common When Ripping CD's To The Hard Drive. The Software I Use For Burning CD-R's Is Adaptec Easy CD Creator V3.5c
For Collectors Who Don't Have The Facilities To Record Their Own CD-R's, I Am Also Willing To Trade With Them For 2 Of My CD-R's For 1 Commercial CD (Original Bootleg, Not Copies.)
All Discs Come With Colour Cover Art Scanned And Printed Onto Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper At 1440dpi. In Many Cases These Are Copies Of The Original Bootleg Album Cover. Let Me Know If You Can't Supply The Cover Art To Any Bootleg You Are Trading With As I Will Do The Same For You. I Usually Mail Discs Without Jewel Cases As This Reduces The Cost Of Postage & Handling.
