Fender Stratocaster
My Strat has a Kahler bridge and locking trem - I know that doesn't suit Fender purists, but there you go!
I soon realised that there were many great players out there and that even with serious hard work I could only aspire to become a poor average! However I do claim to be able to get a good sound. I've had a go at analogue multitrack recording but have yet to experiment with computer based systems. Just to prove that I can get something out of it here are four sound clips in assorted formats the .WAV and the AIFF both contain the same sound - decent quality but actually shorter than the RealAudio pieces:
More Sound Info:SoundApp is a useful application and browser helper which will play WAV files if you are using a Mac. It will also convert/play lots of other sound formats. RealPlayer (Mac and Windows) can provide continuous online sound (if the server has the appropriate software, otherwise the files must download first). The RealPlayer Encoder enables a high level of file compression to be achieved for online use. Though there is inevitably some loss of quality the file sizes are much smaller than WAVE or AIFF.
A plug-in called MIDPLUG, from YAMAHA, enables Netscape Navigator and MS Internet Explorer to play MIDI files in your browser! It provides a complete new set of synth sounds which sound better than the standard set your browser normally uses. It couldn't be easier to set up and use (Mac and Windows). If you are already set up to play MIDI in your browser you could take a look at my MIDI page. |
