This is a rather old collection of pages giving contact details, with some links to my work and some interests. The main index menu at the side gives the links to my own pages. There are some additional external links from the CU-SeeMe, My Strat and 56K Modem Stats pages. Clicking "Home" or the small Mac picture at the top will bring you back here (except when on the Craighall Centre pages). The Scottish flag is an external link to information about....(not hard to guess)...Scotland...it's where I live! Penicuik is a small town 10 miles from the capital city, Edinburgh.

In work time I am the manager of a day service for disabled adults.

It will be apparant from the logo that I am a Mac user. I believe that it is in the interests of all computer users that there is a serious alternative to the Windows mainstream. Both platforms benefit from the competitive rivalry provided by the other, and from the Unix based systems such as Linux (Mac OS X itself is nowadays a highly developed flavour of Unix with a sophisticated graphical interface, as well as the command line familiar to serious computer geeks). The Internet provides an ideal opportunity to explore and improve cross platform compatibility. In my opinion the pointless sniping which often takes place between computer fans says more about the insecurities of the users themselves rather than truly indicating anything significant about the machines or operating systems!
