Operation Demios is the code name for an operation to save our favourite TV show, Space: Above and Beyond.  And now, you too marine, have been selected to participate in this glorious battle.

Since the cancelling of S:AAB after its first season the US based, international fan club,  The 59th Space Ready Reserve have been campaigning to bring the series back.

The series was cancelled because of political reasons, not because of ratings. The people responsible for this have left Fox. Mr. Charlie Goldstein of Twentieth Century Fox still supports the programme and all the actors have expressed that they would return to the series. Mr. Goldstein is the voice "Watch Your Hands" at the end.

Objective

To convince a syndicator that it would be worth their while to produce Space as either a second series or a TV movie run.

UPN have expressed an interest. It would give them a hard edge in the slot that Star Trek fills the soft edge. They would have a second phenomenon to compare with ST.

Warners put in an offer when Fox pulled the series. Fox wouldn't give the rights over. Warners already have a tough series in production and spin offs from Babylon 5 but still write as all this gets around the industry.  Not only that, but as many of you already know, Warners have recently sold B5 to TNT and so may be looking for a replacement.
