I love this show. It's smart, it's sexy and it's chock full of characters you want to take home with you. Who couldn't love these people? Gil - the boss who hates paperwork and loves insects. Catherine - a smart, confident single mom. Nick - the sweet and slightly insecure CSI with a heart as big as Texas and a smile to match. Sara - the abrasive workaholic with a nice line in humour. Warrick - who sees things in shades of grey and for whom the line is sometimes blurred. Greg - liquid latex boy with funky hair and an attitude to match.
The cases are a joy to watch unfold, weird, wonderful and fascinating but watching the characters interact is what makes this show for me. The most functional dysfunctional family of gruesome geeks you could ever hope to find.
I'm primarily a Cath/Nick gal myself, because the chemistry between these two makes me smile, which is why I've set up Always Thinking, a Cath and Nick fan site, but I do think that Nick has chemistry with most of the rest of the cast, and with Gil in particular. It's that whole angsty 'need for approval and refusal to give it' thing that catches my eye. So I should imagine that the fic on this page will be somewhat... eclectic in nature.
