Expectations

He expected Nick to be shy, sweet. A little insecure and a lot freaked out. He expected to coax a response out of him, lead him slowly down the path to new experiences.
He didn't expect Nick to grin wickedly after that first kiss, to be open and hedonistic, all restless heat, strong, bruising fingers pinning him to the bed, aggressive tongue plundering his mouth. Or to be the one penetrated, taken so hard and thoroughly he barely remembered his own name.
The smug expression afterwards, when they lay sweaty, satiated and, in his case, sore? Now that he expected.
