Dr. Alan Grant and Billy Brennan... So doing it. Dr. Grant may have split from his long time partner, Dr. Ellie Sattler, who is now married and breeding dinosaur enthusiasts of her own, but his research assistant and post-grad student, Billy Brennan, has obviously stepped manfully into the breach. Can we say 'old married couple?' I thought we could.
From the very first time we see Billy, flirting with a student on the dig that he runs for Alan before dropping her like a hot potato as soon as Alan arrives back, it's obvious he's smitten. Completely smitten. He flirts outrageously with Alan in every scene they're in and Alan's plainly used to it. He doesn't even bat an eyelid when Billy accepts an invitation to dinner on both of their parts, after he's just muttered an apology about being tired and tried to get out of it.
Definite coupledom.
And the rest of the movie only gets slashier, so much so that there's a lovely quote I've seen in various places all over the internet about this movie...
