Now, when I say *series* it's a bit like this.
Bear with me here, okay. 'Running On Empty' was written
as a stand alone. Truly. It was. But, to my extreme delight,
Chya seemed to have other ideas and wrote a companion piece.
So then it was two. Happy with this, but not feeling the
urge to post, I left them sitting around until, lo and behold,
the urge hit me to write yet another piece. (Why stress
them out from scratch when you can simply re-open old wounds?
). Then another piece appeared as well. And then Chya
wrote the final one. Thus a series was born.
I hope that makes *some* sense.
As for when they're going to appear? That I don't
have an answer for.
Thanks, of course, to Chya for the much appreciated encouragement
and for being the sole reason this eventuated into a series.
Dedicated to Kel. Not only is she directly responsible
for getting me to write in the first place, but I was on
a plane on my way to visit her when inspiration for this
hit. I think it had something to do with being bored out
of my mind and staring listlessly over the wing that did
it...
