Following Wadi Hammamat we saw more of the Eastern Desert including more of the totally different desert landscape, the fand the marvellous Roman quarry village of Gebel Gawakhir, complete with well and some very different yellow coloured pottery sherds. We returned to Luxor via roads which travel along local irrigation channels. |
