Having met Mansour at the New Museum of the New Valley, Okasha convinced him to come with us to tour the Kharga Oasis. After a stop at the local craft centre, whose walls were decorated with pottery failures (and whose shop was filled with its lovely successes) we travelled to Pyris before going to the Roman temple/fortress of Al Deir, where British soldiers were stationed in the 19th Century. |
