Again, Okasha’s notes say pretty much all that needs to be said. The desert scenery was spectactular, a real insight into how varied the landscape of Egypt really is. As we drove into the White Desert, leaving Bahariya behind, the desert looked as though it had a light dusting of snow - an impression that became stronger as we drove further south. We stopped to have a look at the remarkable translucent Crystal Mountain before heading off into the Whtie Desert to see the remarkable and gorgeous pure white mushroom-like formations which characterise the desert in this area  (see Day 6 Part 2).
