Late last year I was given the chance of voluntary redundancy. By this time I had realised that I could not work at the pace I had been doing, due to my illness, and decided to take the redundancy so that I could set up on my own doing what I had come to enjoy - web design!

So I finished working for the DSS on 31st December 1997, took a couple of months out to recharge my batteries and am now currently setting up the business, named TowerWeb.

Garry and I are still together and, though it isn't always easy, he is still the best friend I have. We even appeared in an article in the Express last October! Neither of us have 'a significant other' in our lives at the moment - but who knows? Michael is fourteen and is already taller than I am - and is doing very well at school. He is smart and well adjusted and all that a mother could ask for really.

I had been hoping to make a start on a counselling course this spring but I have put that to one side while I concentrate on the business. However it has not been forgotton - just delayed. Counselling is something I found an apptitude for while helping with the irc channel - and is something I fully intend to take further once the business is up and running. I have a lot of things I want to persue and now I have been given the opportunity to do that.

I suppose I should put in a little about my likes and dislikes. OK - likes: fun, irc, sharing time with friends, irc, theatre, irc, music, irc, reading,irc, vodka, irc, chocolate, irc, flowers - and oh, yes, irc! Dislikes: being mislead or lied to, ironing and sometimes....irc!
