Lethal Weapon 4 15 Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Joe Pesci, Rene Russo
The franchise continues. Is it bad? Well, actually, no. This is probably one of the strongest offerings yet from Gibson and Glover and their ever-growing band of followers. Rene Russo is back, but has little of substance to do. Pesci is good, and saves a scene through class acting that would otherwise have been laughable. There is a plot, and things do happen. There are also lots of explosions. But what really makes this worth seeing, and what makes another instalment welcome is the banter between the cast, and especially between Glover and Gibson. The script crackles with cleverness that you wouldn't normally hear in a Hollywood blockbuster. I liked it. So there! C
