I was born on the 21st January 1955. I lived in Hertfordshire, England, until I was 8, when my family emigrated to Australia. We spent 5 years there, living in the suburbs of Melbourne. My parents worked for, and later ran, a home for deprived and delinquent children; so my brother, sister and I grew up surrounded by other children of various ages and races.
In 1968 we came back to England to live in Sussex . At age 13 I had circumnavigated the world. My 13th birthday was the day we sailed across the international date line, so I had a 48 hour birthday.
I'm left handed, and I taught myself to play guitar and bass upside down and back to front. I've played in 6 different bands over the years, and there are some mp3s of 4 of them up in my music .
I stayed in Sussex a long time, and made many great lifetime friends. I also became a vegetarian, and a lover of Citroen cars. There are pictures of some nice Citroens in Photos .
I got married to a wonderful wife in 1989, and in 1991 we moved to the north of England. We lived in Lancashire for 5 years. Whilst we were there I recorded 6 "solo albums" on a porta studio. You can read the sleeve notes and lyrics in My music , and listen to some mp3s.
Our
1st daughter was born in Blackpool in 1993. She is the most wonderful thing.
After she was born I took up painting, partly because it was quieter than
making music. There are some up in Paintings

Our 2nd daughter was born in Steeton in 2003,
just as wonderful.
We
moved to Yorkshire in 1997, where we live now. I love it here, it's a very
beautiful part of the country.
