A later incarnation of the
Ten Shilling Men put together by the Goring brothers with Mark
Haffenden on vocals, Wilf French on bass and Nick Kenward on drums. The name was taken from a
mythical, figure said to be the ringleader of agricultural riots which flared up in Sussex in the 1820s.
Formed in 1988 to play a couple of gigs at the famous Jack Cade venue, the band later reformed briefly in
the early 90s.
