KEVIN AND THE ANORAKS

Short-lived combo comprising Ray Russell (ex-Trug Concept ) and former Chainsaw Surgeon , Steve Dann.

Ray recalls:
"We played the Zap Club in Brighton twice, following a chap called Captain Stupid, and on another occasion a woman who breast-fed her baby. The only songs we did I remember are "We're All Going up the May" (presumably a reference to the group's local, 'The May Garland' in Horam - Ed) and "Planet Zanussi". We were hardly a pivotal band in the white-hot ferment of the Wealden music scene!"

Ray Russell is proprietor of Tartarus Press, publishers of the weird and wonderful.
