9. HOW DID YOU DISCOVER CAPTAIN BEEFHEART AND THE MAGIC  BAND:
Was a Zappa fan, starting seeing Beef's name associated with Zappa ,  so I borrowed Trout Mask Replica from a friend. I hated it at first, laughed at it for a while, then started enjoying it - especially Veteran's Day Poppy .    Now, of course, I love it !

10. NUMBER OF BEEFHEART GIGS SEEN, AND WHICH YEARS:
     I think it was seven,  from 1970 till the end...

11. ART SHOWS VISITED:  None, sorry to say

12. ANY CONTACT WITH DON ?
Yes, talked to him backstage a few times, and he was very nice, and auditioned for him twice, although one of those times was unofficial, in a hotel room...  He said he liked my playing, but I did not play very impressively, and I think he may have been lying just to be nice.

13. MUSICAL ABILITY/ TRAINING:
I've been playing guitar for many years, mostly self- taught.  Took some music theory classes...

14. ANY OTHER INFO YOU WISH TO ADD ?
I also like some modern orchestral stuff, such as Stravinsky...
     And I wish Don was in good health !
