Courtesy of John Peel in 1967. Just loved the music from first hearing and Trout Mask Replica was a revelation and still is after all these years.'10. NUMBER OF BEEFHEART GIGS SEEN, AND WHICH YEARS:
One of my great regrets, only once, Colston Hall, Bristol 1973 (?) - nice cape11. ART SHOWS VISITED: None

13. MUSICAL ABILITY / TRAINING: None - put off by being given the triangle in infants school.
14. ANY OTHER INFO YOU WISH TO ADD?:
Real cheese (but not so much now my cholesterol level is too high, real ale, history, especially 18th century England. Kids brought up on Zappa but neither of my sons go for it now - where did I go wrong? Youngest seemed taken with Trout Mask Replica - will he pursue it or will he stick with his solid diet of classical music.
Bought the Ozit, Viper and other collection/complilation/bootleg CDs but should one as they are so iffy and the sleeve notes on some are desperate. Feel guilty about buying them but was seeking gems.Live in hope of the discovering of some Beefheart aural treasure - surely what we have cannot be all! 12 Albums is not enough.
