Never saw Magic Band as such. When I was a kid I used to buy records from eric feldman when he worked at revolver records tho! (Saw him play synth/keys with pere ubu years later.) Have met Morris Tepper and Gary Lucas.

At the moment, my name is Rex I Luria. Like many of you guys, I am a musician.  Based in San Fran, I played 'professionally' after graduating college in '88 until, in late '96, I met satan in St. Louis, metaphorically speaking, whilst on tour. I quit playing and listening to music altogether for 4.5 solid years until this summer when I finally kicked satan's ass back to the tarpits. The first thing i did to celebrate my 12th round ko victory over beelzebub was to go spend $100 on the growfins boxset. The shimmering dual guitar architecture on disc 5 #17 (if my memory serves) moved me to spend a week off work doing nothing but listening to music. My appetite for great ensemble music is, once again, unstoppable...which is how i arrived at this newsgroup.
