 9. HOW DID YOU FIRST DISCOVER CAPTAIN BEEFHEART & THE MAGICBAND,
AND WAS THERE A PARTICULAR SONG THAT MADE YOU SEE THE LIGHT?:
 First exposure was a friend's copy of Music in Sea Minor when I was 17- hated it.
About a year later I "got it" while listening to TMR at same friend's house, stoned.
The clincher was Veteran's Day Poppy, especially the bit where it segues to the second half.

 Make horrible noises with a guitar. Have some training in basic blues styling and the barest minimum of theory. Played in several gonowhere bands. Most succesfully in a hardcore punk band when I was 16-18.
