9. HOW DID YOU FIRST DISCOVER CAPTAIN BEEFHEART & THE MAGIC BAND,
AND WAS THERE A PARTICULAR SONG THAT MADE YOU SEE THE LIGHT?:
In 1998? I was at a friend's house digging through her parent's vast vinyl collection. At one point her mom said, "You've gotta see this record" and pulled out TMR. She told us she bought it because it looked funny and the guy's name was Captain Beefheart but had never listened to it. We put it on and laughed a bunch about how stupid it was. A year later I was in the middle of a used CD shopping bender when I found Safe As Milk and bought it remembeing how much fun we had with TMR, but when I listened to it I was floored. I had been into those 60's sunny pop incense and peppermint tra la la bands so this really hit me hard, much like it did people in the 60's. I soon went and bought all his/their records and was hooked.

14. ANY OTHER INFO YOU WISH TO ADD?
Two things. It's so great to see other people love beefheart as much as I do. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who gets it. Even friends whom I think would dig it only like (not love) it. Two...My Band. It's called "We Are The Seahorses" and you can listen at http://www.myspace.com/wearetheseahorses or http://www.wearetheseahorses.com. We don't sound at all like beefheart but hopefully you can hear the influence. Actually we sound nothing like any of our influences. Ok...enough shameless plugs. if anyone wants to trade tapes or CD-R's let me know...thanks
