             published in 'The New Yorker' during fifteen years before 
             the second world war.  Succinct account of the arts in 
             Paris during this interesting period.         Starts with 
             Josephine Baker's sensational debut in 'La Revue Negre' 
             (so impressed Flanner that she went back on the 2nd, 
             3rd & 4th nights), up to the declaration of war. 
             A library copy with stickers removed otherwise in very 
             nice condition with undamaged dust jacket, first UK edition.
