1. Green Lane Day 1999.
Full details of last year's event are to be passed to LARA for use when they are communicating with the Countryside Commission.
We will ask Trevor Kent (who was absent) to co-ordinate the 1999 events as he has contacts within most of the local clubs.
2. Co-operation Between Clubs.
The Trail Riders Fellowship (TRF) will be invited to the next meeting.
3. User Forums.
A brief report of both Stockport and Rochdale meetings was given.
No action is needed.
4. Future Offers of Maintenance Assistance.
The Draft Maintenance Policy was accepted complete with all of Tim Steven's suggestions for modification. This will now be passed to the national GLASS committee for comments/modifications.
It was noted that before the scheme can be implemented, we need to have a list of people that we can rely upon to be committed to the scheme. For this reason it was agreed that we had no choice but to start on a small scale.
5. Survey Forms and Database.
Survey forms were handed out to the members and it was agreed that they could easily be changed if the need arose. Also, a copy of the database so far was available to all members.
6. Training Meetings.
It was decided that these needed to be delayed as they had not been adequately advertised.
The first training meeting will take place in September and the cost will be £10 for GLASS members and £15 for non-members.
7. Local Social Events.
Pat Kent was absent from the meeting but we will contact her and send some information out by post within a few weeks.
A laning/survey day has been organised for Sunday 14th June 1998. Details of the meeting place were available at the meeting.
8. Cheshire.
Ian Boddison and Dave Pickering are to consult to decide what action is going to be taken regarding the manner of RUPP re-classifications within Cheshire.
9. Local Lane News.
Unfortunately only one copy of 'Bod's Top Ten' was available - they will be posted out to members.
Bullet points were distributed and members encouraged to write letters regarding the lanes listed.
Next Meeting will be held on: 9th July 1998
Next training meeting: September 1998
