1. Green Lane Day 1999.
No information has yet been passed to LARA regarding either GLD 1998 or GLD 1999. An account needs to be written along with some photographs and passed to LARA as soon as possible.
Trevor Kent was again unable to attend the meeting and so confirmation that he will organise and co-ordinate Green Lane Day 1999 has not yet happened.
2. Co-operation Between Clubs.
Phil Lord on behalf of The Trail Riders Fellowship (TRF) was invited to the meeting but did not attend. It is intended to formally invite the RoW officers of all local clubs to the meetings.
3. Future Offers of Maintenance Assistance.
No action can be taken until the draft policy document has been fully considered by the national GLASS committee.
4. Survey Forms and Database.
Very few survey forms have been completed and returned to Dave Pickering.
The idea of supplying information directly to Highway Authorities has been considered and, due to format inconsistencies, it has been found to be inappropriate and will not be pursued.
5. Local Social Events.
A social calendar will be made available either before or at the next meeting.
6. National GLASS News.
Details of both the local and national web-sites will be supplied to local Highway Authorities. They will also be asked if they have a web-site so that the GLASS one can contain a link to it.
We should try to ensure that a good local representation is made to the GLASS AGM in September.
7. Local Lane News.
Bod's Top Ten was unavailable but will be posted out before the next meeting.
In future, the lanes covered by the bullet points will include grid references so that they can be visited in advance of any letter being sent.
8. Legal Orders.
We need to have some way of dealing with the processing of legal orders in a more organised manner. Details of this will be discussed in more detail at the next meeting.
Next Meeting will be held on: 13th August 1998
