The desperate attempts to extract the truth of his resignation from Number 6 take a new turn in this episode.

Number 2 decides its worth risking an experimental drug on Number 6 to discover his secret.

Under the influence of the drug Number 6's dreams can be converted into pictures. Number 2 isNumber 6 is injected with the dream inducing drug convinced that Number 6 was going to 'sell out'. He wants to know what and to whom.

Computed research boils it down to 3 people - A, B and C. Number 6 must meet each one of them in his drug-inducedIn his dreams....Number 6 meets Madame Engadine - he meets his contacts at her famous parties dreams.

The first two attempts prove inconclusive and before the 3rd experiment begins Number 6 becomes aware that his is being manipulated and discovers the location of the secret laboratory where he is being experimented upon. He tampers with the 3rd drug dose.

Now Number 6 is in charge of his dreams and plays a cat and mouse game with Number 2, giving him the shock of his life.....

This episode was actually Colin Gordon's 2nd appearance as Number 2 as it was filmed before The General but it was shown first. That's why Number 2 appears so much more jumpy than he does in The General!!
